                               Annual Report – 2018- 19

A happy and lovely good morning to all of you. I cordially welcome you to BAFFLIN - the amazing 2nd Annual day celebration of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Deulipal, Dharmasala. I am fortunate enough to get an opportunity to present the second Annual report for the session of 2018-19. It is my proud moment to present the achievements and all round progress of our beloved institution. The year 2018-19 is marked with multiple events and successful stories. This credit goes to the selfless dedication and team spirit of staff and students.
          Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya is an innovative and magnificent project of Government of Odisha. 190 Odisha Adarsha Vidyalays have already been set up and running successfully in different blocks of Odisha. The Government is going to open 24 new Odisha Adarsha Vidyalays in the coming session. Our Vidyalaya OAV, Deulipal is one among them. The main and sole aim and objective of our Vidyalaya is to provide a high quality English medium school education to the hidden rural talents. It has holistic educational environment, appropriate curriculum and emphasize on output and outcome. It has trained teachers, students, infrastructure and modern facilities as in a central Govt. school.
          Now our school has classes from 6th to 9th with two sections in each class. Students are selected through entrance test. Now our school is running with grand success with 286 students. Every succeeding year will have a new class up to class 12th in this Vidyalaya. Mr. Dhananjaya Mishra, TGT Sanskrit is the in-charge principal of this Vidyalaya. We have a bouquet of 10 experienced and qualified teachers in our school. They are Smruti Ranjan Pradhan (TGT Science), Debaprasad Sen (TGT Math), Saumya Swagatika Pradhan (TGT English), Bijaya Kumar Mallick (TGT S.St.), Goutam Kumar Rout (Art teacher), Priyambada Samal (TGT Hindi), Sabitri Pradhan (TGT Odia), Subhashree Priyadharshnee Nayak (Computer teacher) and Sarbeswar Baitharu (Music teacher). Our teachers are dedicated, devoted, resourceful, sincere and honest. The official works of this Vidyalaya are effectively done by Samapika Barik (Junior Clerk Cum Accountant). We have three supporting staffs, Badal Kumar Das (Science Lab attendant), Ajaya Kumar Behara (Peon) and Dipti Ranjan Mallick (Night Watchman). Student teacher relation in our school is very pious, loveable and cordial. We follow high level of ethics and moral education. Most priority is been given to girls students in our school as 50% of seats are reserved for them. A Vidyalaya management and development committee has been formed having 16 members under the chairmanship of our District Collector. Total three parent teacher meeting and 2 VMDC meeting are conducted during this educational session. We are grateful to our VMDC members for their dedicated and selfless work for our school.
In every working day all of our students and teachers assemble at prayer class followed by pledge, GK questions, News Paper reading, current affairs, OAV anthem and National anthem. Our school is proving free mid day meals to all the students of class 6th to 8th on all working days. Our students have been provided school uniforms, badges, belts and identity cards by the Government.
           Our school has already conducted periodic tests, half yearly exam, periodic test 2 and annual exam. Our students have done exceptionally well in these exams. Total 206 students appeared in the examination 27 students secured A 1, 52 students passed in A 2, 44 students in B 1, 37 students in B 2, 16 Students in C1, 18 students in C 2. Rupali Acharya secured first position with 93.94% in class 6. Swati Swagatika Pradhan secured first position with 97.62% in class 7. Adyasha Dalai secured first position with a significant 97.97% in class 8.
Apart from curricular activities, co- curricular activities of students are also noteworthy. Some of our talented students have brought name and fame to our school by participating in various competitions. Ayushman Ray represented our school in district level science quiz competition. Pruthiraj Samal and Arpita Baral selected in school level science exhibition and represented our school in block and district level. A dance group comprising 6 students namely Aditya Panda, Swarnaprava Sahoo, Shresthangana Panda, Suhani P. Swain, Farina Safaque and Biswabandana Biswal selected to perform sambalpuri dance in sishu Mohasatv on 14th November. Shresthangana Panda got second prize in senior and Priti Pragnyan Guru got second prize in junior group song competition conduted by Kalpataru Das foundation on 26th January, 2019. Different competitions were held in Banipeeth on the eve of Republic Day. Our students participated in that competition and credited 15 prizes out of 20 prizes. Shuree jigynasa jena got first prize and farina safaque got 2nd prize in English essay writing. Farina Safaque got first position in English debate, Pravasini Sahoo got first position in Odia debate, Smruti Pragyana Mohapatra and Rupali Achrya got first and third position in odia essay. Aliva Avilipasa got third position in Odia essay writing of senior group, Swarnaprava Sahoo got second position in Odia debate in senior group, Jogesh Khamari and arpita Baral got first and third position in senior group, Ashish Kumar Jena, Omm Praksh Jena, Haraprakash Panigrahi got first, second and third position in English GK, Subhrasmita Sahoo, got second position in drawing. Group dance comprising 8 students got third position. Damodar Vidyapeetha celebrated subarna Jayanti on 27th January, 2019. Students participated in the form of group dance and got second position. Block level essay competition was held on the eve of road safety week. Farina Safaq, Sushree Jiyansaha Jena, Swetapadma Sriharipriya stands 1st, 2nd, 3rd position respectively in junior group. Jogesh Khamari and Arpita Baral got third position in senior group.
          Our school conducted 2 days annual sports meet on first and second February, 2019 to inculcate sportsman spirit and game ethics among our students. We have conducted science exhibition in our school on 26th November, 2018 to ignite the latent mind of our students for spreading scientific temperament and innovation. We have conducted various other competitions like Devotional Bandana, English Debate, Essay, Science quiz, Science exhibition, Odia Debte, Paper Craft, English Extempore, Badminton, Rangoli, Story Telling, Jhoti, Song and one Act play in our school for all round development our students. We have always emphasized on equipping our student with skills, ethics, and greater personality to be a good and successful human being in their life. We have physic, chemistry and biology laboratories with modern sophisticated equipments. It is enhancing scientific temperament and innovative attitude among our young little scientists. We have a library ornamented with more than 1200 books. Parent, teachers and other generous persons extended their helping hands to make it successful. On 23rd February a book donation camp was held with the help of VMDC members and parents and near about 800 books were donated for paving bright future of our students. This library inaugurated today by the gracious presence of the chief guest. In an education system parents, teachers and students are the pivotal branches. Especially the relationship between parent and teacher is very important. To reduce this gap between them and better functioning of school, we have made our presence on various social Medias like face book, Instagram etc. We have also developed an official website for the convenience of all.
